Citation¶
If DROPPS contributes to a study, cite both the software release and the accompanying article. Use the final journal metadata for the article after it has been assigned by the publisher.
Software citation¶
The release includes a machine-readable CITATION.cff file. Its citation
metadata identifies:

Include the exact version, the artifact or repository location used, and—when available—a persistent archive DOI in the methods or software-availability statement.
Machine-readable metadata¶
The source distribution and wheel contain CITATION.cff. Citation File
Format-aware tools can read it directly, avoiding manual transcription of
author names and release metadata.
